Kleinste Soepfabriek
De Kleinste Soepfabriek (Kleinstesoepfabriek) makes organic, artisanal soups and broths the way you would cook them at home: with real ingredients, robust herbs and spices, and without E-numbers or artificial flavour enhancers. The brand is easy to recognise by its glass jars, where you can clearly see what’s inside—pure, honest and transparent. From its production kitchen in Leek (Groningen), the company has built a broad range of classics and world-inspired flavours, with many varieties being vegetarian or vegan.
The story begins with founder Michel Jansen, who in 2005 went looking for truly flavourful organic soup—and started developing it himself. Since 2012, production has taken place in Leek, where the company has grown while holding on to its “small-scale” philosophy: quality over volume. You can taste that in the “slow cooking” approach and in the attention to flavour development, cooking time and ingredient choices—leaving room for seasonal and regional ingredients when it fits.
