TastyBasics

TastyBasics

TastyBasics is a Dutch food brand built around one central idea: food should truly nourish again. That’s why TastyBasics uses “Whole Foods” as its foundation minimally processed ingredients such as whole nuts, seeds, kernels, legumes, vegetables and fruit. According to TastyBasics, nothing is added or taken away: no unnecessary additives, but instead the natural balance of fibre, protein and healthy fats that these ingredients contain by nature. In this way, TastyBasics aims to be a counterweight to heavily processed foods that often contain a lot of added sugar but relatively little nutritional value.

You can see that philosophy reflected in the range. TastyBasics makes, among other things, crunchy mueslis and muesli bars, as well as crackers, rusks and snacks positioned as the “best basis for your day”. The brand presents these products as practical and tasty, yet also filling and nutritious, so a simple breakfast or snack can keep you going for longer.

Alongside health, TastyBasics also links its Whole Foods choice to sustainability. The products are largely plant-based, and TastyBasics explains that eating more plant-based, whole-food ingredients fits a more sustainable food chain. According to TastyBasics, it comes down to short, clear principles: honest, pure, recognisable and above all: super tasty. That makes TastyBasics not a “diet product”, but a modern pantry line for people who want to make healthier choices more easily, without it becoming boring.
